I am a senior lecturer in the Department of Biology and the program director of College Park Scholars- Life Sciences program at the University of Maryland. At UMD, I have taught Principles of Evolution (BSCI 370), Organismal Biology (BSCI 207), Molecular and Cellular Biology (BSCI 170), and Beyond Race: Human Biological Diversity (BSCI 151), as well as the College Park Scholars- Life Sciences Colloquium series (CPSF 100, 101, 200 and BSCI 258).
scholars.umd.edu/programs/life-sciences I am passionate about undergraduate education, and the use of innovative pedagogical techniques that enhance student learning. My prior research focused on speciation, population genetics, conservation genomics, and pedagogy. I am earned my PhD in the Searle Lab at Cornell University and investigated evolutionary processes in European voles and surf clams for my dissertation research. |
