Lecturer
Department of Biology,
University of Maryland
I am a lecturer in the Department of Biology at the University of Maryland, where I teach Principles of Evolution (BSCI 370), Organismal Biology (BSCI 207), Molecular and Cellular Biology (BSCI 170), and Beyond Race: Human Biological Diversity (BSCI 151). I am passionate about undergraduate education, and the use of innovative pedagogical techniques that enhance student learning.
My research focuses on speciation, population genetics, conservation genomics, and pedagogy. I am a recent PhD graduate of the Searle Lab at Cornell University and investigated evolutionary processes in European voles and surfclams for my dissertation research.
